I would like to thank you for the help and assistance that you provided me over the course of my therapy.

I was somewhat sceptical about engaging in further therapies having experienced various approaches over a thirty year period, with limited and often temporary success. My profession and personal traits also make me very analytical and, somewhat cynical. I often found prior therapy sessions heavy on theory and method based, which made them increasingly ineffective for my needs.

As with many things in life, believing in what you are doing, and those who are part of that journey, is fundamental to success. For Steve to make an impression on me so early in our sessions is testament to your natural aptitude as a Counsellor.

Steve's attentive and empathic qualities regularly allowed him to sift out the key points to address and provide little 'nuggets' that helped empower me to make tangible progress each week. Above all I was able to trust him with the real me, prompting me to book additional sessions to help navigate a much needed life change.

You know that your Counsellor is doing something right when you look forward to your appointment! It is fair to say Steve that our sessions felt more like spending time with an exceedingly knowledgeable and helpful friend rather than a Counsellor. Thanks again for empowering me to come out of a very dark place and further equip me to enjoy the good things in my life once again.

I’ve been working with Steve for a bit over a year now, and I’ve found his casual style of therapy to work wonders for my life and well-being.

Steve has supported me through everything—from the smallest victories, like just getting out of bed, to the lowest of lows. He’s always been amazing at guiding me through my emotions and knowing when I just needed someone to listen. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Kind Words from My Clients

It can be hard to know what to expect from counselling — and even harder to know if someone’s the right fit for you. Below are a few kind words from people I’ve worked with, shared with their permission. Everyone’s experience is different, but I hope this gives you a little glimpse into what it can feel like to work together.
