Starting counselling can bring up all sorts of questions — that’s completely normal. I know I had plenty when I first reached out for support myself. Here, I’ve answered some of the things people often ask before getting started. Hopefully, it helps make things a bit clearer and easier to take that first step. If there’s anything else on your mind, just drop me a message — I’m always happy to have a chat.

  • Counseling is a process where we talk about what’s on your mind in a safe, supportive environment. It can help with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, and other challenges, giving you the tools and perspective to navigate life with more clarity and confidence.

  • In online counseling, we connect through secure video calls, so it’s like having an in-person session but from the comfort of your home. Telephone counseling works the same way—just over the phone. Both options are flexible, private, and designed to fit into your life.

  • No. The number of sessions depends on what feels right for you. Some people prefer short-term support, while others may want ongoing counseling. We can discuss your goals, and I’ll work with you to figure out what’s best.

  • In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. You’ll share what brought you here, and we’ll talk about your goals for counseling. We’ll also discuss how I work and make sure you feel comfortable with the process.

  • If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or going through something challenging, counseling can be a good option. It’s normal to have doubts at first, but if you feel ready to explore and work through things, we can figure out together if it’s a good fit.

  • Yes. Everything you share in counseling is confidential, within the boundaries of the law. Your privacy and trust are very important to me, and I’ll always make sure you feel safe sharing openly.

  • You can book a session through the contact form on my website, or simply give me a call or send an email. Once we confirm, we’ll schedule a time that works for you.

  • Life happens! If you ever need to cancel or reschedule a session, just let me know with at least 48 hours’ notice, and we’ll find a new time that works for you.

If something comes up and I don’t hear from you within 48 hours, the full session fee will still apply.

I also know that life can be unpredictable. If there’s been an emergency or something out of your control, please get in touch when you can to let me know what’s happened. I’ll always listen, and we can talk it through together — I aim to be as fair and understanding as possible.

  • That’s completely okay. You’re in control of what you share. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, and you can take things at your own pace. I’m here to support you no matter where you’re at.
